L'évolution et la mécanisation de l'agriculture. En 1954, notre secteur bénéficiait d'un avantage appelé «zone témoin» grâce à Claudius Delorme sénateur. Il se créait un groupement de productivité qui bénéficiait d'avantages importants : subventions, prêts à taux réduits, assistance d'un technicien pour changer les méthodes de production : prairies artificielles, nouvelles variétés de céréales, amélioration du cheptel et surtout mécanisation.

27 zones témoins ont été choisies, englobant chacune, en moyenne, 3 ou 4 communes et de 150 à 200 exploitations agricoles.
