The 2 Minute-Wave of Silence is a millennium project designed by the Legion to allow Canadians to stand in silent tribute to the men and women who served our country in time of war. Starting in Newfoundland and Labrador as the clock strikes 11 a.m. local time on November 11, a wave of silence will begin to roll across the nation's six time zones, as people stop to remember.

Cette année, la Légion royale canadienne nous invite à participer à un projet spécial, la «Vague de 2 minutes de silence», qui a pour objet de rendre hommage aux Canadiens et aux Canadiennes qui sont morts à la guerre. La Légion a conçu ce projet du millénaire pour nous inciter à observer le silence et rendre hommage à tous les hommes et à toutes les femmes qui ont servi notre pays en temps de guerre. La Vague de silence débutera à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador à onze heures, heure local, le 11 novembre et continuera son parcours à travers les six fuseaux horaire du Canada à mesure que nous arrêtons pour réfléchir à ceux et celles qui ont sacrifié leur vie pour la liberté.
