L'homme fait partie intégrante des écosystèmes et il est actuellement pratiquement impossible au niveau de la terre de trouver un écosystème totalement étranger à l'influence proche ou lointaine de l'homme. Il ne faut pas oublier, même si l'action de l'homme n'est pas toujours bénéfique, que la transformation en agrosystème a permis hier et permet aujourd'hui à une partie de l'humanité de manger à sa faim.
