The ecosystem composed of cultivated land and surrounding or intermixed uncultivated areas, the plants contained or grown thereon, and their associated animal.

CONT

Agricultural systems (agro-ecosystem) are man-made and of short duration, usually consisting of one main plant species of uniform age, whereas natural systems contain many species of diverse ages and are self-perpetuating.

Les écologistes ont souvent tendance à exclure l'homme des écosystèmes, ce qui est une erreur. L'homme fait partie intégrante des écosystèmes et il est actuellement pratiquement impossible au niveau de la terre de trouver un écosystème totalement étranger à l'influence proche ou lointaine de l'homme. Il ne faut pas oublier, même si l'action de l'homme n'est pas toujours bénéfique, que la transformation en agrosystème a permis hier et permet aujourd'hui à une partie de l'humanité de manger à sa faim. Une meilleure gestion permettrait de faire mieux.

[...] con los principios ecológicos [extraídos del estudio de un agrosistema se puede] construir agrosistemas actuales sustentables, en un momento en que para la agricultura de los países industrializados esta característica se ha convertido en primordial, ya que las condiciones medioambientales, sociales y económicas han obligado a variar los objetivos desde la productividad hacia la sustentabilidad.
