CONT

There are three types of respiratory protection: air-purifying respirators, supplied-air respirators and self-contained breathing apparatus. ... Supplied-air respirators provide breathable air from an outside source and protect against very toxic particulates and gases at high concentrations. They have a compressed air source and an air hose connecting the air source to the breathing mask. The respirators may have half facepieces, full facepieces, hoods or helmets and the oxygen is supplied by pressure demand or continuous flow.
