The advanced microwave scanning radiometer - EOS (AMSR-E) is one of six sensors aboard Aqua. AMSR-E is a passive microwave radiometer, modified from the advanced Earth observing satellite-II (ADEOS-II) AMSR, designed and provided by JAXA (Japan Space Agency).
