Grand Ole Atlantic National Exhibition In 1851, Saint John was the site of Canada's first indutrial exhibition. Originally, the exhibition was primarily used to display agriculture and industrial products. A carnival also provided entertainment, which attracted the public. Today the Atlantic National Exhibition (ANE) is dominated by the carnival atmosphere.
