Au début des années 80, on a aussi beaucoup cru, en physique, aux anomalons, des noyaux atomiques plus gros que la normale «découverts» lors d'expériences sur les ions lourds. Les meilleurs revues scientifiques ont publié des articles sur les anomalons, il y a eu des congrès internationaux sur le sujet. On a cru que cela vaudrait un prix Nobel. Il reste peut-être quelques scientifiques dans le monde qui y croient encore... Mais il y a consensus aujourd'hui pour dire que l'anomalon n'existe pas.
