Key term(s)
  • adenosinetriphosphatase

French

Domaine(s)
  • Biochimie
  • Biologie moléculaire

Record 2 1992-06-04

English

Subject field(s)
  • Muscles and Tendons
CONT

White fast twitch fibers are generally large pale cells with a diameter about twice that of the slow twitch fibers and little myoglobin. They contain fast-acting myosin ATPase.

CONT

Normal cardiac myosin ATPase and mechanics in pressure overload with digitalis treatment. (In Amer. J. Physiol., Heart Circul. Physiol., 1978, 3 (3) 253-259, cited in PASCAL data base.)

French

Domaine(s)
  • Muscles et tendons
CONT

J. Physiol., Heart Circul. Physiol., 1978, 3 (3) 253-259, cité dans la base de données PASCAL.)

Subject field(s)
  • Cytology
  • Biochemistry
CONT

these so-called "elementary" or "F1" particles, are regularly spaced at intervals of 10 nm on the inner surface of the inner surface of (the inner mitochondrial) membranes. According to some estimates, there are between 10 000 to 100 000 elementary particles per mitochondrion. These particles correspond to a special ATPase involved in the coupling of oxidation and phosphorylation.

  • Biochimie
DEF
