A national historic site managed by Parks Canada.

Named after the "Battle of Lundy's Lane," a battle fought between American troops and British regulars assisted by Canadian fencibles and militia, one of the bloodiest battles of the war of 1812, and one of the deadliest battles ever fought on Canadian soil.

On January 12, 2001, the words "of Canada" were added to the names of national parks, national park reserves and national historic sites. The addition should be systematically used on cover pages, in titles, headings and at the beginning of documents. In the body of a text, it is stylistically appropriate to omit the words "of Canada."
