CPS movie Blaster ou Creative Labs Video Blaster. Ces deux cartes différentes représentent une très bonne solution en la matière. Il s'agit de cartes permettant la représentation des signaux vidéo sous Windows. Les images peuvent être gelées et enregistrées dans les formats graphiques classiques. La carte se connecte par un câble à la carte VGA de la machine. Elle travaille, pour la représentation des images, selon un procédé appelé méthode Blue-Box, très proche du procédé TV. Le signal vidéo est transmis à Windows (ou au DOS) sous forme d'une couleur. Les logiciels qui accompagnent la carte servent au réglage des divers paramètres de l'image et à l'enregistrement de la partie de l'image qui a été gelée. Ces cartes trouvent tout son intérêt dans la fascination qu'exercent les images animées sous Windows.
