English

Subject field(s)
  • Equipment (Oil and Natural Gas Extraction)
DEF

Record 4 2007-09-17

English

Subject field(s)
  • Boring and Drilling (Mines)
DEF

The temperature of the fluid at or near the bottom of a borehole; significantly lower than the temperature of the formation if borehole fluids have been circulated recently or are being produced with expansion in the well bore.

OBS

BHT temperature: This term is redundant since the word "temperature" is already included in the abbreviation BHT.

OBS

bottom-hole temperature (BHT) down-hole temperature; BHT-temperature: terms and abbreviation used at Natural Resources Canada - Earth Sciences Sector.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Sondage et forage miniers
CONT
