Layoffs in the health care industry have created a number of boutique services as health services providers have willingly, or unwillingly, gone into business or practice for themselves. We are seeing a growing number of commercial care providers in the fields of: nutritional counseling, eldercare referral services, drug adjudication, preferred provider networks, stress management programs, ergonomics, pharmacy benefit management, mail order drug stores, disability management, and disease state management.
