Défauts des panneaux. Les défauts que l'on peut constater sont nombreux mais les plus fréquemment rencontrés sont : - le décollage des plis; - le cloquage; - les taches. [...] À côté de ces trois principaux défauts, d'autres peuvent encore apparaître. Un panneau peut présenter une courbure, en général régulière et plus ou moins accentuée, provenant d'un déséquilibre de tension entre les plis opposés ou d'une réhumidification d'un pli extérieur. Le panneau est alors dit : voilé. Pour les mêmes raisons, la déformation peut avoir une allure hélicoïdale, et l'on a un panneau gauche, ou sinusoïdale dans un panneau gondolé.

Gauche ou gauchi : qualifie une surface, un panneau, une porte, une planche, etc. déformés, cintrés ou vrillés.
