Les glaçures «Bristol» sont opaques, raides, moins douces et moins brillantes que les glaçures au plomb.

OBS

[...] glaçures cuisant à des températures moyennes de 1135° à 1190°, dont le fondant principal est l'oxyde de zinc. Ce type de glaçure s'est développé en Angleterre pour remplacer les glaçures au plomb quand la toxicité des composés du plomb à l'état fut jugée dangereuse pour la santé.
