CALC is the Commonwealth Association of Legislative Counsel. CALC is not part of the Australian Government, although its website is hosted by the Australian Government Office of Parliamentary Counsel as a general service to legislative drafting. CALC's object is to promote cooperation in matters of professional interest among people in the Commonwealth engaged in legislative drafting or in training people in legislative drafting. CALC was established at the Commonwealth Law Conference held in Honk Kong in 1983.
