COHESIVE TEAM [1 record]

Record 1 2007-01-23

English

Subject field(s)
  • Team Sports (General)
  • Physical Education, Coaching and Sport Psychology
CONT

According to Carron and Hausenblas (1998), use of SH [self-handicapping] strategies should be less necessary in cohesive groups. Responsibility for perceived failure is usually shared equally in cohesive groups, in which group support is readily available and there are fewer threats to self-esteem.

CONT

... leaders do well in building group cohesion because being in a cohesive group is satisfying and also indirectly and directly enhances performance.

French

Domaine(s)
