Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
Well-mixed reactors which rely on a selective membrane to separate low molecular weight products from higher molecular weight substrates. They are therefore most useful for carrying out depolymerization reactions, especially when using soluble enzymes, so as to ensure good contact with macromolecular substrates. The main disadvantages associated with the use of these reactors are the small sizes of reactor available, and concentration polarization, that is blockage of the pores in the membrane by solid, fat or colloid particles present in the substrate. 1, record 1, English, - ultrafiltration%20reactor
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Production of glucose from cellulose by enzymic methods has been investigated, and a procedure using an enzyme reactor having an ultrafiltration membrane has been reported for this purpose. Cellulose was heated at 200° C in a running porcelain pot mill for 25 min, ground to fine particles with a diameter of 50-150μ, and then suspended in water. The cellulose suspension was reacted with cellulase from Trichoderma viride in an ultrafiltration membrane reactor, and the resulting glucose syrup was continuously removed from the reactor through the membrane. 3, record 1, English, - ultrafiltration%20reactor
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Similar selective membranes have also been used in hollow-fibre reactors, which can be used in a plug-flow fashion with substrate rapidly recirculated through the reactors, but with the enzyme located inside the fibre. 1, record 1, English, - ultrafiltration%20reactor

1, record 1, French, - r%C3%A9acteur%20%C3%A0%20ultrafiltration
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
1, record 1, French, - r%C3%A9acteur%20%C3%A0%20ultrafiltration

Continuous stirred tank reactors ... are versatile and cheap, and are particularly useful when liquid-phase reactions are being carried out. The reactor contents are well mixed such that the concentration of reactants is virtually uniform throughout the vessel. Note that the product stream leaving the reactor has the same composition as the mixture within the tank, (substrate enters at same rate as contents of the reactor are removed). 3, record 2, English, - continuous%20stirred%2Dtank%20reactor

1, record 2, French, - r%C3%A9acteur%20%C3%A0%20fonctionnement%20continu

Continuous flow stirred tank reactor ... Fluid particles that enter the reactor are assumed to be instantaneously and uniformly dispersed throughout its entire volume. Hydraulic retention time (HRT) of CFSTR (flow/volume) is the average time of particles' residence in the reactor, however, theoretically a particle can enter and leave CFSTR in an instant or remain in the reactor for a very long time. 5, record 3, English, - continuous%2Dflow%20stirred%20tank%20reactor

1, record 3, French, - r%C3%A9acteur%20continu%20agit%C3%A9
