The life cycle of SCN [soybean cyst nematode] has three major stages: egg, juvenile and adult. The cycle begins when eggs hatch to release worm-shaped juveniles in the soil. This is the only stage when SCN can infect soybean roots. Soybean plants release chemicals that attract the larvae to the roots. Once they have penetrated the roots, the young nematodes migrate to the water and nutrient-conducting tissue (vascular system) and establish a feeding site (syncytia). 3, record 1, English, - soybean%20cyst%20nematode

2, record 1, French, - n%C3%A9matode%20du%20soja

Heterodera schachtii ... is sexually dimorphic. Females, when visible on plant roots, are white, lemon-shaped and partially enclosed in root tissue. When a female dies, her body becomes a cyst and darkens to a brownish-black. Cysts detach from host roots easily and remain in the soil, containing as many as 600 eggs. Males and juveniles are vermiform and found in the soil. Males are often twisted through 90-180 degrees when heat relaxed. 3, record 4, English, - sugar%20beet%20cyst%20nematode

A septated ovarian cyst can be either a complex or simple ovarian cyst. However, in order to be classified in this category, the cyst must have more than one segment, with the cyst being divided into various sections. The walls between the segments are known as the septa and can vary in thickness. We tested the hypothesis that multiphasic, low-dose monophasic, and high-dose monophasic oral contraceptives share a common protective effect against functional ovarian cysts. STUDY DESIGN: we conducted a cohort study using the automatic files of Maine Medicaid to assemble a population of 7462 women between the ages of 15 and 44 who were prescribed an oral contraceptive between Jan. 1, 1987, and Dec. 31, 1988. We included as cases 32 women with a principal diagnosis of a functional ovarian cyst confirmed by medical records as being 20 mm in diameter. 1, record 48, English, - functional%20ovarian%20cyst
