The Defence Research and Education Centre Limited of Canada is a non-profit, non-partisan, private corporation registered under the Companies Act of Nova Scotia. It was established to do research into and educate the public on issues of international relations and security, with particular reference to weapons of mass destruction. Its goal is to apply the understanding of war veterans and those closely affected by war to strengthening Canada's contribution to peace.
