The "Lennoxville Dairy and Swine Research and Development Centre" has been contributing to the development of Canadian agriculture for many years. The Centre is located in the heart of the Eastern Townships, Quebec. It was founded in 1914 under the name of the "Lennoxville Experimental Station." The Station became the "Lennoxville Experimental Farm" in the early 1950's, the name was changed to the "Lennoxville Research Station" in 1959, and changed again in 1994 to the present name, the "Dairy and Swine Research and Development Centre." The "Dairy and Swine Research and Development Centre" in Lennoxville is committed to making the Canadian dairy and swine industry more competitive. The scientific expertise of the Centre is also available to work in collaboration with the sheep industry. Le «Centre de recherche et de développement sur le bovin laitier et le porc» de Lennoxville contribue depuis longtemps au développement de l'agriculture canadienne. Le Centre est situé au cœur des Cantons de l'Est du Québec. Il fut créé en 1914 sous le nom de «Station expérimentale de Lennoxville». Au début des années cinquante, la «Station expérimentale de Lennoxville» est devenue la «Ferme expérimentale de Lennoxville», pour ensuite prendre en 1959 le nom de «Station de recherches de Lennoxville» et finalement, en 1994, le nom actuel de «Centre de recherche et de développement sur le bovin laitier et le porc».
