The Ontario Network of Employment Skills Training Projects (ONESTEP) is a province-wide umbrella organization for the community-based training and employment (CBTE) sector. More than 450 programs are provided by our member agencies, with over 250,000 clients served each year. Services include but are not limited to: career and personal counseling; literacy, ESL and numeracy programs; job-finding clubs; computer courses; sector-specific training (finances, tourism, healthcare) and job placement. Since its incorporation in 1987, ONESTEP has been governed by a volunteer board of directors drawn from member agencies. ONESTEP is a not-for-profit organization with registered charitable status.

The mission of the AESN was to bridge the gaps between job seekers and employers through holistic, integrated and principled career development. They are guided by a philosophy that seeks to build a partnership between "Aboriginal people and identified community, business, and government leaders, to determine the employment needs and economic goals within their respective communities." They endeavour to maintain a holistic model of service that emphasizes the importance of stakeholders. A high standard of professional competence is inscribed in the AESN's code of ethics.
