OBS

Financial mechanism that provides grant and concessional funds to recipient countries for projects and activities that aim to protect the global environment. It is jointly implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Bank. The GEF was launched in 1991 as a pilot program.
