Les algorithmes évolutifs sont des algorithmes stochastiques fondés sur la manipulation du processus d'évolution et d'adaptation des organismes dans les milieux naturels. Dans cette large classe d'algorithmes, on retrouve la sous-classe des algorithmes génétiques. Ces derniers sont des processus d'optimisation de problèmes, fondés sur la théorie darwinienne.
