Les expressions «party adverse in interest», «party who is adverse in interest on the motion», «opposing party», «opposite party» et «adverse party» et leurs équivalents français «partie ayant des intérêts opposés», «partie opposée à la requête», «partie opposée» et «partie adverse» sont facilement interchangeables dans le cadre de la procédure.
