Plantation en butte. Cette méthode est appliquée en sol tourbeux. [Lors] du creusement des fossés de drainage, le gazon ou la tourbe sont découpés en mottes qui sont retournées sur le terrain et constituent des buttes alignées. L'opération doit se pratiquer au moins quelques mois à l'avance, de façon à provoquer la décomposition de la végétation et à assurer une continuité entre le sol en place et la butte. Les jeunes arbres sont ensuite plantés dans cette butte soit en fente, soit en trou.
