The NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) is the representative Indigenous organization for approximately 6,000 Inuit of south and central Labrador. In 1991, the NCC, formerly known as the Labrador Metis Nation (LMN), filed a land claim with the Federal Government covering a significant portion of Labrador.
