OBESITY PARADOX [1 record]

Record 1 2024-08-19

English

Subject field(s)
  • Hygiene and Health
CONT

The "obesity paradox" relates to counter-intuitive findings suggesting that, although people are at greater risk of developing heart problems if they are overweight or obese, once a person has developed a heart condition, those with higher BMIs [body mass indexes] appeared to do better and were less likely to die than those of normal weight.

Domaine(s)

CONT
