The Rockland Formation comprises the oldes strata of the Trenton Group in the Ottawa Embayment. It is 55 feet thick and consists of grey, argillaceous, finely crystalline limestone. Cette formation est formée de 55 pieds de calcaire cristallin à grain fin de couleur grise et argileux.
