Causas. La lesión de codo de tenista no sólo afecta a estos deportistas, sino a todas aquellas personas que someten a esta parte del brazo a posturas forzadas repetidas o a esfuerzos prolongados. La lesión más frecuente de extremidad superior en el tenis es la lesión lateral de codo, resultado de un esfuerzo excesivo o repetitivo sobre los tendones extensores del antebrazo, en particular los del músculo extensor corto del carpo.
