Chambre d'ionisation non compensée à dépôt de bore. Elle est basée sur le principe de la collection totale des charges développées dans un gaz par les particules ionisantes issues de l'interaction des neutrons ou des gamma. La chambre d'ionisation délivre un courant dont la valeur reproduit fidèlement le taux de réaction dans le détecteur. Si le niveau neutronique produit par le réacteur est suffisamment élevé, on peut considérer que le courant mesuré est l'image de la puissance du réacteur.
