Strictly speaking, voice-tracking refers to the process of a disc jockey prerecording his or her on-air "patter." It is then combined with songs, commercials, and other elements in order to produce a product that sounds like a live air shift. Voice-tracking has become common on many music radio stations, particularly during evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday time periods. It is seen by most radio station owners as an economical alternative to employing live disc jockeys around the clock. 2, record 1, English, - voice%2Dtracking

"Voice-tracking copies" refer to reproductions of musical works made in order to permit pre-recording of announcer voiceover comments. Excerpts from the beginning and end of the songs to be included in a pre-recorded program are reproduced and provided to the announcer so that the voiceover can be timed to properly coincide with the beginning of the vocal portion of the next song. 1, record 2, English, - voice%2Dtracking%20copy
