The Visitors & Professional Interchange Program (VPIP) was established in 1996 to ensure a co-ordinated approach to professional interchanges within the Department of Justice. The Program fosters professional development opportunities for Justice employees and their colleagues in the national and international justice communities while opening up the Department to outside involvement. En 1996, le ministère de la Justice a mis sur pied le Programme d'invités et d'échanges de professionnels (PIÉP) qui a pour but de favoriser les échanges de professionnels au ministère de la Justice. Le Programme suscite des possibilités de perfectionnement professionnel pour les employés de la Justice et pour leurs collègues des collectivités nationale et internationale de la Justice, tout en ouvrant le Ministère à la participation externe.
