This powerful documentary focuses on the experiences of three battered women who, after years of violence, killed their abusers in self-defense. The film explores the reasons for their actions and how they were treated by the courts. Also featured is author, Ann Jones, who offers an historical background on society's attitudes toward women who kill, and who challenges the legal system to confront the widespread violence that men inflict daily on the home front.
