In June 1998, the Women's College Hospital was amalgamated with two Canada's finest health care organizations, the Orthopaedic and Arthritic Hospital and the Sunnybrook Health Science Centre to form the Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre. In 2006, the name changed to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, affiliated with the University of Toronto.
