Wood products are designated as being either primary or secondary. Primary products are different kinds of roundwood, that is, felled from trees from which the twigs, branches and leaves have been removed. Primary products (such as sawlogs, veneer, logs, pulpwood and chips) are used to produce secondary wood producs (such as sawnlogs, veneer, paper, pulp and plywood).
