The objectives of the Youth Challenge International (YCI), established in Toronto, Ontario, are to promote young people's active, responsible and continuing participation in the issues of local and global development; to promote and support the establishment of a YCI global network, with partners in developed and developing regions of the world; to foster increased international cooperation between individuals, communities, service organizations, governments and agencies by focusing expertise and materials upon locally indentified problems in developing regions.
