This outreach program is designed to build bridges into the Aboriginal communities in Canada and to make Aboriginal youth aware of potential military or civilian careers with the Department of National Defence.

In the province of New Brunswick, Social Service, Educational and Mental Health agencies felt that a group of multi-agency, regionally based clinical teams would have the best chance of creating the kind of care plans that would be most acceptable to the youth and his/her family, as well as to the school and community. With these facts in mind, they developed and implemented a provincial system entitled the Youth Treatment Program (YTP). À la lumière de ces constats, ces groupes d'intérêt ont élaboré et mis sur pied un réseau provincial qui s'appelle le Programme de traitement pour jeunes (PTJ). Ce programme s'adresse aux jeunes (de 18 ans et moins) ayant de graves troubles de conduite qui ont vécu une perte dans leur vie familiale et qui éprouvent des difficultés à l'école et dans la collectivité.
