Por extensión, relación entre el valor de un activo y los beneficios que se esperan conseguir con él. Un PB superior indica mayor confianza o seguridad en el valor, o la esperanza de mayores beneficios en el futuro. El inverso del PB es una tasa de rentabilidad; por ejemplo, un PB de 8 equivale al 12, 5 por 100. En España se suele usar el término PER.
