Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 DEF
A fraction of chromatin that has characteristics distinct from the bulk of the chromosomal material, the euchromatin. It is distinguished by its highly condensed state and by its tendency to stain strongly with basic dyes, to remain condensed through interphase (when the euchromatin is decondensed sufficiently to render the form of the chromosomes unresolvable), and to have few (if any) gene coding sequences within it. 2, record 2, English, - heterochromatin

2, record 2, French, - h%C3%A9t%C3%A9rochromatine

The central region of the cyanobacterial cell is less colorful than the chromatoplasm; it is called the centroplasm. This region includes the nucleoid or nucleoplasm but should not be confused with a true nucleus. There is no nuclear envelope and no true nucleus in any cyanobacterium; all species are strictly prokaryotic. The region is less colorful because of the lack of thylakoids, but it is certainly not empty. 2, record 3, English, - centroplasm

2, record 3, Spanish, - centroplasma
