La mescaline, la psylocybine, le LSD [diéthylamide de l'acide lysergique] sont des hallucinogènes. Ils entraînent une tolérance pharmacologique croisée entre eux, mais n'engendrent pas de dépendance physique. Les sujets prenant des hallucinogènes cherchent à faire une expérience psychédélique.
