Atmospheric scattering produced by spherical particles which are small, less than about one tenth of the wavelength of the incident radiation. 1, record 4, English, - Rayleigh%20scattering
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Rayleigh scattering of sunlight from particles in the atmosphere is the reason why the light from the sky is blue. The amount of Rayleigh scattering that occurs to a beam of light is dependent upon the size of the particles and the wavelength of the light; in particular, the scattering coefficient, and hence the intensity of the scattered light, varies inversely with the fourth power of the wavelength, a relation known as the Rayleigh law. 3, record 4, English, - Rayleigh%20scattering

2, record 4, French, - diffusion%20de%20Rayleigh
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 CONT
3, record 4, French, - diffusion%20de%20Rayleigh
