Le fil de fer doit être tendu pour que le grillage ait une bonne tenue. On utilise des raidisseurs à cran d'arrêt (ou tendeurs), qui se placent au niveau du poteau d'extrémité ou à la jonction de deux fils. Avec un raidisseur classique, la tension est obtenue par vissage d'un écrou à la clé à molette. On utilise également des tendeurs à crochets à tige. Le fil de fer est fixé sur les crochets et la tension est obtenue en tournant, à la main, le corps du tendeur.

The potato leaf roll virus is transmitted by certain aphids when they pierce the seed potato to feed on the sap. The potato leaf roll virus can be considered persistent because the aphid only becomes infectious after a latent period required for the passage of the virus through the insect's intestine and then through the salivary glands.

Le VEP provoque la perte de chlorophylle, l'enroulement des feuilles (qui prennent un aspect caoutchouteux) et, fréquemment, un grave rabougrissement du plant. Le virus peut causer une importante baisse de rendement. Contrairement aux virus de la mosaïque, le VEP est transmis par un puceron qui l'absorbe et le régurgite ensuite par la salive dans un plant sain qu'il visite pour se nourrir. Le processus est plus long, mais les pucerons restent infectieux pour la vie. Le puceron vert du pêcher, M. persicae, est de loin le porteur de VEP le plus efficace.

[...] En el año de la infección por pulgón(síntoma primario), se produce una clorosis intervenal y enrollamiento hacia arriba de las hojas apicales. En variedades pigmentadas, el borde de la hoja se amorata. [...] Los síntomas foliares se manifiestan desde las primeras hojas con el típico enrollamiento, se vuelven coriáceas y producen un chasquido característico al ser dobladas. Se reduce el tamaño de los tubérculos y el rendimiento puede bajar hasta un 50%.

An instrument transformer whose primary winding is connected in parallel with a circuit in which the voltage is to be measured or controlled.

Voltage transformers (potential transformers) are connected between the lines whose potential difference is to be determined and are used to step the voltage down (usually to 115V) and to supply the voltage circuits of the connected instrument burden. Their basic construction is similar to that of a power transformer operating at the same input voltage except that they are designed for optimum performance with the high-impedance secondary loads of the connected instruments. The core is operated at high flux density, and the insulation must be appropriate to the line-to-ground voltage.
