Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
A quantum dot, also called a "qdot" or a "nanodot," is a semiconductor nanocrystal that is less or equal to 10 nm in size, and confines the motion of conduction band electrons in the three spatial directions. So, by definition, quantum dots are able to trap electrons. A given quantum dot contains a finite number of conduction band electrons typically in the range of 1 to 100. The energy levels of these electrons can be explained by using quantum physics, hence the name "quantum dots." 2, record 1, English, - quantum%20dot

6, record 1, Spanish, - punto%20cu%C3%A1ntico

Any of several species of subatomic particles that are identical in mass with electrons, protons, or neutrons but opposite in electrical charge or (in the case of the neutron) in magnetic moment. Thus a positron is an electron with a positive charge; an antiproton is a proton with a negative charge; an antineutron has no charge but has a magnetic moment opposite to that of a neutron. A photon has no antiparticle, since it has no particulate properties. (A photon is considered to be its own antiparticle).
