Institution which was created between the Banco de España (Bank of Spain) and the credit institutions whose objective is to insure and protect client's deposits and balances until a certain amount are in financial institutions with a possible insolvency or bankruptcy. It has been used to save banks that are in crisis, and to allow partial contributions to come from the issuing bank and the financial institutions.

Institution créée entre la banque d'Espagne et les institutions de crédit. Sa finalité est d'assurer et de protéger, jusqu'à un certain montant, les soldes et dépôts de clients dans des institutions financières, contre une éventuelle insolvabilité et faillite de ces dernières. Elle a sauvé des banques qui connaissaient de grandes difficultés et est financée par des contributions paritaires de la banque émettrice et des institutions financières.

Se ha utilizado para salvar bancos en crisis, y se nutre de contribuciones paritarias del banco emisor y las instituciones financieras.
