El cotoneaster de arándano(Cotoneaster apiculatus) es un arbusto de hoja caduca originario de China occidental. La planta crece hasta 3 pies de alto y hasta 6 pies de ancho. Las hojas circulares verde oscuro, difusas, crecen a 3/4 de pulgada de diámetro y se vuelven rojas y moradas en el otoño.
