An adhesive that is apparently dry to the touch and that will adhere to itself instantaneously upon contact.

CONT

Contact adhesives or cements. These usually are based on solvent solutions of neoprene, a relatively crystalline elastomer, and are in common use for installing hard-surfaced counter-top laminates. Contact cements are so named because they usually are applied to both surfaces to be bonded. Following evaporation of the solvent component, the two surfaces may be joined to form a strong bond with a high resistance to shearing (sliding) forces.

Les adhésifs de contact sont des solutions de gomme naturelle ou de gomme synthétique [...] qui sont interposées entre deux couches; en pressant le système ainsi obtenu, on élimine le solvant, ce qui provoque l'union des deux couches. Les adhésifs de contact sont utilisés dans les secteurs du bois, des matières plastiques et du caoutchouc, mais peuvent également être utilisés pour coller des matériaux divers comme les polymères et les métaux.

OBS

Le terme «colle» était à l'origine employé pour désigner un adhésif préparé à partir de gélatine dure. Par extension, ce terme est devenu synonyme de celui d'adhésif et correspond aux substances obtenues à partir de résines synthétiques. Actuellement, le terme «adhésif» est celui qui est préféré comme terme général et peut désigner aussi bien des colles que des mastics.

Rugby sevens teams are made up of seven players instead of 15 as in rugby union. Its shorter matches consist of two seven-minute halves. This full-contact game is played on a standard rugby union playing field measuring 100 metres by 70 metres (109.4 yards x 76.6 yards). Players run while holding the ball, and cannot pass the ball forward — it can only be passed laterally or backwards. Teams score points by either kicking the ball through the goal posts or touching the ball down in the other team’s goal area.
