homólogo : La Fundación del Español Urgente(Fundéu BBVA), con el asesoramiento de la Real Academia Española, indica que la voz "homólogo", mejor que "contraparte", es la recomendada para aludir a las personas o entidades que tienen funciones equivalentes. [...] Como explica el diccionario académico, "homólogo" es un adjetivo, que se puede emplear también como sustantivo, con el significado de correspondiente o equivalente a otra persona o cosa por tener algunas características relevantes comunes. En cambio, "contraparte" es la persona o grupo de personas que se opone a otra y la parte opuesta o contraria a algo o a alguien, especialmente en un proceso judicial.
