[Panama's Act 20] is an example of the recognition of collective rights and of the respectful collaboration between the State and indigenous organizations with respect to protecting the intellectual property rights of indigenous designs and patterns. The National Coordination of Indigenous Women of Panama (CONAMUIP) worked in this spirit by raising awareness among artisans and by training leaders on the issue of intellectual property. Among other things, these awareness efforts enabled indigenous women to defend their intellectual property rights and encouraged greater participation on their part in national and international debates on trade and intellectual property. 1, record 1, English, - National%20Coordination%20of%20Indigenous%20Women%20of%20Panama

1, record 1, French, - Coordination%20des%20femmes%20autochtones%20du%20Panama
