DEGRADACION TERMICA [4 records]

Record 1 2016-11-15

English

Subject field(s)
  • Plastics Manufacturing
DEF

The entirety of all deleterious chemical modifications of a plastic at elevated temperature.

OBS

thermal degradation: term and definition standardized by ISO.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Plasturgie
DEF

Record 2 2016-11-15

English

Subject field(s)
  • Thermodynamics
DEF

The thermochemical decomposition of organic material at elevated temperatures in the absence of oxygen.

OBS

When the primary products of the oxygen-deficient decomposition are non-condensible fuel or synthesis gases, the process is known as gasification.

OBS

The distinction between "pyrolysis" and "incineration" is that in a "pyrolysis unit" the organic material or carbon is not fully oxidised and the residue still has a heating value.

OBS

pyrolysis: term standardized by ISO.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Thermodynamique
DEF

Record 3 2016-11-15

English

Subject field(s)
  • Thermodynamics
DEF

The chemical decomposition of a compound by heat, involving the uncatalyzed cleavage of covalent bonds.

OBS

Molecular deterioration of materials (usually organics) because of overheat; can be avoided by low-temperature or vacuum processing, as for foods and pharmaceuticals.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Thermodynamique

Spanish

Campo(s) temático(s)
  • Termodinámica
DEF

  • Thermodynamics
  • Heat (Physics)
CONT

The evaluation of the thermokinetic parameter of heat release during ammonia absorption ...

OBS

thermokinematics: The theory of motion of heat.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Thermodynamique
  • Chaleur (Physique)
DEF
